A little work on the 'ol template

I've changed up the template in order to (hopefully) make it more user-friendly to other bloggers, as well as those who read regularly.
I've eliminated Haloscan. Not that there's anything wrong with the utility, but blogger now supports trackbacks. You will find the trackback thingy under the post and says "Others linking to the Above".
Thanks, and if you have any suggestions on how else I could improve the usability of this lowly corner of the bloggosphere...please let me know.

Ah, the Nativity.

The most hated symbol in all the world for a card carrying ACLU member is that of the Nativity. Why wouldn't it be? They hate (hate) Christianity, Christmas, etc.
So, what am I going to do about it??? Why put up my very own Nativity scene here on this humble blog. The idea was given to me by Jay over at
Stop the ACLU.
Jay posted the following article as his inspiration.

Dr. Charles Nestor, director of The Truth Matters, is announcing a project called “Operation Nativity” with the goal of having Christians across the country set up nativity scenes on their own property.

Nestor states, “It’s that time of year again. We’re not even out of October and already the forces are aligning to prohibit the public celebration of the birth of Jesus.

“December 25 is the day in our culture that is set aside to acknowledge and to celebrate that Jesus of Nazareth was born. For Christians it is more than a day of feasting and the exchange of gifts, it is a holy and solemn time to join our voices in unison as the angels proclaimed on the hillside to the shepherds, ‘Glory to God in the highest.’

“I am calling for Christians everywhere to join me in Operation Nativity. While we continue to support the public displays, let’s flood the country with nativity scenes on our own properties!

“Think with me what could happen if on lawns in every community, on business property, on church lawns, at Christian schools, on empty land, and literally everywhere you looked, there was the depiction of the scene that recognizes the birth of Jesus.

“Simple cutouts are available. Many already own lighted sets. It could be a family project, filled with opportunities to teach children about the events surrounding the birth of the Savior. Source

If you wish to do the same, feel free to copy the image from here, or Jay's Site, and host them yourselves...as Jay nor I quite have the funds to buy the extra bandwidth...that or we're just tightwad conservatives;). Either way, feel free to host and post...in fact, I'd like to encourage you to do so.
Thanks and God Bless,

I'm No Economist, But...

I'm willing to step out on a limb and make a prediction. Black Friday is tomorrow (as today is Thanksgiving). As for the prediction, Black Friday will go swimmingly for corporate America, a ton of money will be spent, as near-record level sales of electronics and big-ticket items propel many companies into the "Black" again...hence the name.
The major media outlets and their doom and gloom (alleged) "Analysts" will be "shocked", "suprised", or "bewildered" that this could happen as they have been telling us for five years now that the economy is shot.
Fact is the economy is strong as ever.
  • After 9-11, our unemployment rate shot up. Now, it's down. Way down.
  • Two natural disasters of unprecedented devastation hit the US, the DOW is still closing above ten thousand.
  • And lastly, for the love of God, folks were standing in line to buy a cheap assed plastic box that doesn't even work like it should half the time...and drop nearly four hundred big ones on said cheap assed plastic box. (not to mention those buying the same thing on e-bay for thousands!)(I weep for those people)
People are working, making and saving money, and at the same time spending enough money to keep the economy running like a well-oiled machine.
Don't let that stop you from believing the MSM's diatribe about the "Republican" economy.
Till next time,

Spend, Spend, Spend sez the GOP.

I know it's Thanksgiving and all, but I've just skimmed through the 20 or so pages of the Cato institute's latest Policy Analysis entitled "Grand old Spending Party: how republicans became big spenders." I can only hope that this report will turn more conservative on their ears to do something about all of the wasteful spending in Washington.
I'm not worried, though. Sure the Cato is a predominantly conservative group, and are pointing out flaws in the GOP, but wake up lefties, folks like myself have been lambasting our alleged representation for years on that point.
"But won't this drive Republican poll numbers lower?"
I hope so. Don't have a heart attack my fellow conservatives, the dems polls are just as dreary as ours. More people still claim to be "Anti Clinton" than "Pro Clinton". The fact of the matter is that people just have a growing distrust for government in general. That is GREAT news for "true" conservatives. The less we trust them, the less power they have...and that, to quote the most evil woman outside of Washington, is a good thing.
Agree? You have to.
God bless,

Happy Thanksgiving, One and All...even the libs.

Aaaah, Thanksgiving. My chance to sit myself on the couch, watch football, eat pie, watch football, and eat more pie. I like pie.
But most of all, let's take a moment to reflect on the "real" meanings of this holiday.
First and foremost, let us not forget to give thanks for all that we've been given...
the economy is so good that folks are lining up to buy a little plastic box that was released too soon and likely will be as riddled with bugs as Courtney Love.(Lord, forgive me, that was soooo wrong.)
But aside from that, let us too realize that this is the beginning of the assault on Christmas. Target has once again banned the Salvation Army (in this man's oppinion the most worthy of all the major charities), the City of Boston is putting up a Holiday tree, and the ACLU will be quite busy making sure to put the screws to as many Christians as humanly possible to fulfill their Communist Agenda.
So, Happy Thanksgiving, Good luck on Black Friday, and May God Bless You and Yours.
-M. Sheldon.

Iran...U.N...you know this can't be good.

So, Iran's parliament has voted to kick out UN inspectors if the UN sees fit to sanction them for their nuclear weapons program.
Why do we have to listen to them again?
In light of this, I feel compelled to point out that the UN has denegrated into nothing more than a wannabe world governing body whose sole purpose is to control the actions of the U.S.
I say that if this action continues on the part of Iran, we make war. Not some pansy occupation, but war.
If defiance of nuclear resolutions is what the Iranians want, I say give them defiance. Blow 'em away.
Of course the very same panty-waisted liberals who are always defending the actions of the UN will be calling the Iranians misunderstood and the UN the bully (as Iran is inherently more evil and thus more misunderstood than the UN). I thought I'd point this out before some lib posted this in the comments.
Action is needed now. We could go into Iran (as that is where much of the insurgency is coming from) help Iraq not be the only front for terrorism, and show the true force of the US. It seems everyone has forgotten just how strong we are.

Sorry for the light posting of late...been real busy with "real" life...and money don't grow on computers...yet.
